Staycation at The Melrose Georgetown DC
Hey Queens, stopping in to share my first ever staycation in D.C. I always get questions on the best places to stay in DC when visiting and since I live here and I usually can’t share a recommendation, but NOW I can! I had the pleasure of staying at the Melrose Georgetown and I’m sharing a few of my favorites moments from my stay below, special shout out to the hotel staff for being so accommodating and allowing me to have full run of the hotel for photo purposes, lol.
Location and Activities
The Melrose is located in one of my favorite areas, Georgetown which keeps you close to shopping, restaurants, and D.C sightseeing. The hotel is a few blocks from Georgetown shopping, some of my favorites include, & Other stories, Intermix, and COS. There are also great eateries in the area when you need a break from all the shopping, I suggest Martin’s Tavern or Thunder Burger and Bar, my personal favorites.
Melrose Bar and Restaurant
Lets talk food shall we, the Jarenea restaurant inside the Melrose hotel is phenomenal. The decor and ambiance is elegant and chic and the FOOD is everything, I tried the lamb and it was literally falling off the bone it was so tender! The Melrose also has a great bar area with specialty cocktails, they are so accommodating and happy to whip up the perfect drink to suit your needs.
Service and Amenities
My favorite part of my stay at the Melrose Georgetown has to be the staff, everyone was so helpful and accommodating from the check-in to room service and the restaurant . Service is extremely important to me and the Melrose exceeded my expectations with a consistent guest first mentality. I also really loved our room, we had amazing views from every window and I am slightly obsessed with the modern decor. The vibe of the room is very chic but still comfy so you feel like you can relax and enjoy your room!
